Renal Perfusion Scan (with Tc99m - DTPA)
Parameters
Measurement of total and differential kidney GFR. Evaluation of differential renal perfusion and function with kidney/aorta slope ratio for each kidney, quantitative renogram and deconvolution analysis with Parenchymal Transit Time assessment.
Indications
Screening of renovascular hypertension (with follow up study after single dose of Captopril). Detection of obstructive uropathy. Differential diagnosis of obstructive vs. non obstructive hydronephrosis (with Lasix wash-out). Evaluation of C.R.F., and A.R.F. with detection of Acute Tubular Necrosis. Evaluation and follow up of renal transplants.
Case Study
Mr. RM, 38 yo man with chronic left hydronephrosis.
Selective GFR study - showing poor GFR on the left.
Very slow excretion on the left.
Cumulative shape of left kidney venogram.
