Peritoneo-Venous (LeVeen) Shunt Study with Tc99m-MAA

Indication

Investigation of shunt patency.

Procedure

Intraperitoneal administration of the tracer with scanning time up to 3 hours. Good clearance from peritoneum and tracer uptake in the lungs proves shunt patency.
