Neuroectodermal/Norepinephrine Study with 123-I MIBG (metaiodobenzylguanidine)

For localization of pheochromocytoma, neuroblastoma and carcinoid tumor.

Preparation

Lugol solution 20 drops orally, 30 min before IV (when no allergy to iodine).

Attention

Definitely +ve biochemical tests and abdominal CT scan before scans are required.
