Bone Marrow Scan (with Tc99m –Sestamibi)
Indications
Highly sensitive in Plasmocytoma and other osteoclastic bone malignancies.
In borderline lesions on bone scan suspected for malignant deposits.
Mrs AJ 60 yo. Collection of sestamibi in the lower sternum and in bone marrow of both femora (lesions unseen on bone scan). Consistent with plasmocytoma.
